Sometimes u look around and u will learn most important business lessons. Somethings are not really taught in class. Yesteray I was roaming in a Mumbai Mall. Was feeling hungry so decided to take a bite. Saw McD and Subway. McD had a waiting for approx 5 min and noone was their at the Subway counter.I had never tastes Subway food so decided to order their “value meal” instead of McD. As expected all their value meals were touching the roof. For a Veggie it did not have many options (error 1) . So took a veggie delight value meal ;-) . And was in for my first shock.. This so called burger (or is it called a 6″) did not have any burger in it. I pay 85 bucks to get a vegeatable salad  . forgot the most irritating part.. It is a takeaway joint so i expect that i just mention my order and voila everything should be ready in matter in minutes …but nooooo they believe that ppl here are too finicky about how their 6″ inch ;-) is to be made.

So the questionaire starts.
1) Brown or White bread (huh!!!! i have no idea what a brown bread is)
2) Mayoneese or Cheese (anything … look at me do i look a person who is weight conscious btw i am of the skinny kind)
3) Cookie or Lays Chips (never had a cookie so cookie)
4) Single layered choclate or double layered
5) Mustard in ur 6″
6) Ice in ur Pepsi (ughhhhhhhh…..)

at last after 5 mins of this and that i got my 6″ delite.. (what delight)

Food Review

As i said no burger in my 6″ delite (apparently u need to pay 20bucks more to get a small allu layer WOW..) so not at all filling. The so called cookie was soggy.. god knows how many days before they had made it. Pepsi was not that chilled even with Ice (i simply love McD coke really gives me the kicks)

Moral

Look at McD business model.. 2 min flat and ur order is in ur hand. that what i call fast food. They have catered for all classes and the masses.. they have burgers ranging from Rs20 to Rs60 have a large variety of Veg food and the Coke is gr8. They simply adapted themselves to the Indian envoirment but unfortunately Subway treats us the same as their US customers. Thats why u see a 5 min waitup line at McD and no one on Subway..

P.S -> Even KFC who are basically realted to Non-Veg food have introduced Veg menu in India. Have not tried their but someday will do that and post my experiences

After BussinessWeek carried out an article on Blogging, this subject all of a sudden has become hot. In my search on future of Blogging found few interesting developments. Next in line is Video Blogging (Ex VidBlogs) and Podcasting .

Video Blogs,as the name suggests, are video files uploaded on a site along with the text. This results in an increased interaction with ppl who read their blogs. Till now video blogs have been for private viewing but it appears more and more ppl are ready to show their lives to complete strangers.Naturally Google cant remain away from this new phenomenon. Google Video(Beta) has started and is in the line of Video blogging.

Those who want to keep their anonymity and are too lazy to write (Like me ;-) ) Podcasting is the solution. Similar to Video blogging but here sound files aer uploaded in either mp3 or rm formats. Podcasting gets its name from ipod+broadcasting. Eventhough this is not related to Apple in any way but is believed that it was started by using an Ipod to record and transfer.

Many companies have also realised how blogging can affect the output/work of a company. Recent example being that of Nokia . Read on Bussiness Week Blog how Nokia is publising its Nokia 7700 using Blogs.
